Perspektywy wykorzystania rolnictwa miejskiego jako nowej formy turystyki miejskiej – przykład Singapuru

Abstrakt


Singapur to miasto-państwo, a zarazem jeden z najlepiej rozwiniętych regionów świata. Pośród najpoważniejszych problemów z jakimi borykają się jego mieszkańcy należy wymienić bardzo ograniczoną przestrzeń. W takich warunkach do minimum zredukowano obszary przeznaczone pod uprawę. Pomimo tego, istnieją w mieście nieliczne farmy, których produkcja zaspokaja około 5% wewnętrznego popytu na żywność. Ponieważ jednak presja by zabudowywać każde wolne przestrzenie rośnie, farmy te by przetrwać zdecydowały się na dywersyfikację źródeł dochodów i rozszerzenie oferty także o usługi edukacyjne i turystyczne. Odwiedzanie tych farm to nowa i wciąż bardzo niszowa forma spędzania czasu wolnego. W artykule przeanalizowano obiekty, świadczące usługi edukacyjne i turystyczne w Singapurze i potraktowano je jako atrakcje turystyczne. Podejmowane rozważania, oparte na badaniach terenowych w Singapurze w 2019 roku,  sugerują, że rolnictwo miejskie może być atrakcją turystyczną. Jednakże singapurska oferta edukacyjna i turystyczna w farmach miejskich, choć innowacyjna, stoi wciąż przed wieloma wyzwaniami, z których największe to peryferyjne położenie farm i ograniczona dostępność komunikacyjna.
